The One And Only DJ PornstarBorn in a small New Mexico town in 1980, DJ Pornstar rapidly became aware that the dull desert life was too dry. In 1995 he ran away from the desert and took to the road. By 1998 he found himself driving into San Francisco. He immediately found his home in dance music. Moved by the 1998 San Francisco Trance scene, DJ Pornstar found his passion for music. Within a year he was DJing all over SF as “The Pest.” It was later that DJ Pornstar realized the cross marketing potential of both his Porn and DJ Career and became the true DJ Pornstar in 2000 after dropping his title “The Pest”. Who would have thought these passions would merge into an orgasmic rush of sight and sound? DJ Pornstar pioneered Electro House/Electro Clash in early 1999, when few would venture into this new and exciting sub-genre of dance music in SF. Since studying at Expression in Emeryville during 2002, DJ Pornstar has begun producing his own work which is sure to be as amazing and expansive as the rest of his career. DJ Pornstar has played many of San Francisco’s Best-known clubs, events, and undergrounds. Clubs like Mezzanine, Club Liquid, Pink, SF Underground, Asia SF, Adonis (Club NV) and events like Pride (1999-2004), Castro Street Fair (1999-2002), and Harvey’s (brownies for my bitches). DJ Pornstar has delighted all of SF playing on Energy 92.7, SF’s Dance Station. His Experience spans a decade in the SF dance music scene. He has seen genres come and go, but has stayed true and honest to Electro House. Only now is the city just becoming aware and awake to the sound thatDJ Pornstar heard eight years ago. He has a style of his own from the music he plays to what he does or does not choose to wear. He has the magic pill that transcends the electro dance scene to a new stream of consciousness, using strange sounds and fashion concepts inspired by Electro Clash from New York, Paris, London, and Germany. The only way to truly know what this club kid turned exhibitionist is like is to experience him stroking the turntables in sexy underwear on roller skates, pushing a fuck-me attitude into the crowd and fuck-me sound into your ear. |
